Judges and Judging Day
It is a condition of entry that each school provides judges in the ratio of 1 judge for each 12 entries or part thereof. For information about your school’s responsibilities for judging entries refer to page 4 of the STS handbook.

Competition Dates There are several important dates  that you must adhere to.		School STS coordinator role Each school must nominate a School STS Coordinator. You can find a description of the role in the STS Handbook on page 3.

Key Science Ideas Picture Story Books and Creative Writing The STS committee has provided some samples of key science ideas to assist teachers, parents and students who are unclear on what is required for this guideline. Professional Development Kit The Science Talent Search Professional Development Kit is free and has been designed for schools and teachers entering STS for the first time. BHP Foundation Science and Engineering Awards partnership with STS
Science Talent Search has a partnership with the national BHP Foundation Science and Engineering Awards. Students wishing to enter the BHP Foundation Science and Engineering Awards must register for Science Talent Search in the Experimental Research and/or Inventions Sections. Major bursary winners for the Experimental Research and/or Inventions sections are automatically entered into the BHP Foundation Science and Engineering Awards. STS Committee
The Science Talent Search competition is run almost entirely by a volunteer committee. Each year 25 – 30 dedicated teachers or ex-teachers donate their valuable time to administering judging, running exhibition and presentation day, and overseeing the competition rules and guidelines. Without a committee the competition cannot operate.
